Trinity Access Ambassadors Our Trinity Access Ambassadors are at the heart of all we do. As undergraduate students who have entered Trinity through our range of alternative entry routes, they have made the conscious decision to tell their stories and inspire the next cohort of students to fulfil their academic potential. Being an ambassador is a great opportunity to give back, to make friends, and to be part of our Trinity Access community. Through the ambassador programme, relationships are forged that endure through college and beyond, into the workforce. We owe our success to the unwavering commitment of the Trinity Access Ambassadors. During the pandemic, they adapted to new methods of programme delivery with remarkable ease and allowed us to continue to explore creative and innovative ways to engage with our students. In November 2020, a number of our ambassadors joined together to share their journeys to study in Trinity. While putting multiple faces to the ongoing issue of access to education, they called upon the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Simon Harris, to meet with them to discuss the college experience of under-represented students. The Minister met with a group of student representatives who spoke about a range of issues, including moving to Dublin to attend lectures, undertaking placements during a pandemic, the impact financial challenges have on their third level experiences, and their hopes of pursuing postgraduate studies.
