INTRODUCTION CLIMATE AND ENVIRONMENT HEALTH The report present among other things, how we have spent 2019 on optimising the amount of plastic on selected products, which have resulted in an overall reduction of 51.6 tons plastic – as well as how we want to contribute to the health and wellbeing of the Danish population through our engagement in the new Innovation Partnership. The report also states why we have trained all our store owners and their deputy heads in value-driven management, and why we support a new camp-concept, S-CAMP, which have a special focus on giving children and young people more confidence, increased self-esteem, better health and strength. All these efforts are part of our promise to deliver ‘discount with an attitude’ and meet our targets that support the fulfilment of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We are still facing a great number of challenges on the road towards 2030, but through joint efforts, I am confident we will reach our goals. I would like to thank all customers, store owners, colleagues, suppliers, and partners for a good 2019. I look forward to continuing our work for joint solutions in the coming years. 1000 REMA regards One of the first REMA 1000 stores in Skive, 1994 COLLEAGUES RESPONSIBLE TRADE APPENDICES Henrik Burkal CEO REMA 1000 Denmark REMA 1000 CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY 2019 2
