Campus & Alumni News Trinity Term 2024 Encampment in Trinity Over recent months, right across the world, university campuses have increasingly become places of protest. In Trinity, the Boycott Divestment Sanctions (BDS) Group, supported by the Students’ Union, set up an encampment in Fellows’ Square on 3 May to highlight the human suffering due to the war in Gaza and to express solidarity with other student protests around the world. Students and staff worked together to reach an agreement on the issues raised, and this agreement was approved at a special meeting of Board on 8 May. The issues raised during these protests form part of a much wider and complex landscape that universities must now navigate. The full text of the agreement reached on 8 May is available on the Trinity website. The Provost also wrote to the college community with a further update after the regular meeting of Trinity’s Board on 22 May. Click here to read the full text of the agreement.
