Adult Education at Tangent Louise Grubb, Chair of Tangent, Trinity’s Ideas Workspace shares her insights into the value of adult education in innovation and entrepreneurship L ouise Grubb is a serial life science entrepreneur and inventor with an incredible track record. From concept through to commercialisation, she is an expert in delivering innovative life science products and services, and Tangent gives adult learners space away from the regular demands of life to figure out what they really want to do next, while helping them develop skills such as agile thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and leadership. Graduates holds several publications and patents. are primed to develop innovative solutions to critical issues A native of Waterford, Louise founded NutriScience in 2000, which develops, manufactures, and markets novel veterinary nutraceuticals. The business was acquired in 2009. Grubb then founded her second start-up in 2012, Q1 Scientific, the first Irish company to specialise in stability storage solutions for the life science industry. Today, Q1 Scientific employs such as food security, digital transformation, healthcare, and environmental sustainability. As the world changes and technology advances, returning to education at Tangent ultimately provides individuals with opportunities.
