Neasa Hardiman PhD (2019) School of Drama, Film & Music BAFTA Award Winning Filmmaker Neasa Hardiman is a BAFTA and IFTA winning Director and Writer from Dublin, who holds a PhD in Film Theory from Trinity. She works across film and television at international level and her feature film Sea Fever was selected to screen on the opening night of the Toronto International Film Festival 2019, before being snapped up for distribution across the world. Neasa has worked with Dreamworks, Netflix, Amazon, and the BBC. She recently completed the new Netflix thriller Hit and Run , and she’s currently directing Amazon’s political sci-fi The Power . In her early years, Neasa produced and directed documentaries with RTÉ, and designed their current logo. She lives in Ranelagh, and both her children are Trinity students. Charles Dorfman Theatre Studies Film Producer Charles Dorfman is a film writer, director, producer and CEO of Dorfman Media Holdings. He has produced several highly acclaimed films such as The King’s Speech and Untouchable , a documentary on the rise and fall of disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein. Dorfman made his feature film directorial debut in 2019 with Barbarians , a film also written by him. Barbarians features Iwan Rheon of .a lot of Beckett and a great learning Game of Thrones experience and is set at a dinner party where strange secrets and unsettling events begin to unfold. He is also a Director of Everyman Cinemas and Chairman of the Young Patrons of the National Theatre. Dorfman studied theatre at Trinity and was involved in many student-run theatre plays and competitions across Ireland, which he described as ‘a lot of Beckett and a great learning experience’.
