Trinity Access An educated society is a thriving society and access to education changes lives. In Ireland equal numbers of school leavers come from affluent and disadvantaged areas but only 10% of new third-level students are from disadvantaged communities (2019/20 figures). Trinity Access aims to address this educational inequality and provides a range of innovative, targeted programmes to raise aspirations and widen access for people whose social, economic, and cultural experiences might otherwise prevent them from going to college. Trinity Access: • Promotes alternative access routes and entry programmes • Supports over 1,000 undergraduate students from under-represented communities • Encourages new entrants by partnering with over 130 schools in disadvantaged areas nationwide • Engages with over 10,000 students, parents, and teachers annually through outreach programmes Despite progress in recent years there are still communities and parts of our population not accessing higher education.
