New Generations Bringing the best talent to Trinity from Ireland and around the world People are the lifeblood of a university. The success of any academic institution is dependent on its ability to attract, retain and progress talent at all levels. New Generations brings the best talent to Trinity from Ireland and around the world, empowering the university to pursue excellence in education and research. Trinity’s vision, enabled by New Generations, is to create a globally connected, inclusive collegiate community that reflects Irish society and the contemporary world. New Generations encompasses support for a broad diversity of staff and student initiatives that enhance every aspect of Trinity life, and it specifically underpins all the flagship projects of our college-wide philanthropic campaign, Inspiring Generations. The campaign’s landmark capital development projects including E3: Engineering, Environment and Emerging Technologies, the Trinity-St James’s Cancer Institute and the Old Library - provide the state-of-the-art spaces and facilities necessary for groundbreaking research and education, and New Generations attracts the talent that enlivens these spaces. New Generations has two interconnected strands: 1) academic talent, funding a range of academic positions from early career researchers to full Professorial Chairs across the university, and 2) student talent, funding scholarships and bursaries across all disciplines and creating more pathways to support talented students from all backgrounds to study at Trinity.
