Peter Martin Global President, Tate Access Floors Professional Overview Peter Martin is Global President of Tate Flooring, part of the Kingspan Data Center Division, with more than 20 years of international leadership in building materials. He leads strategy, growth, and operations across Tate’s raised access flooring businesses in North America and Europe, serving office buildings, healthcare, education, data centers, and other commercial environments. Peter began his career with CRH in 2002 through its graduate development program. An economics graduate with an MBA, he led large-scale operational improvement initiatives across 27 manufacturing facilities in North America before running a plant himself—shaping his belief that leadership must be grounded in execution. He later joined Kingspan during its North American expansion in insulated metal panels, rising from plant manager, then to general manager of Benchmark by Kingspan, then to Vice President of Operations, Kingspan Insulated Panels. He ultimately oversaw seven manufacturing facilities across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, leading capacity expansion, cross-border integration, and the scaling of high-performance architectural product lines. Role at Tate Access Floors Today, Peter is focused on positioning raised access flooring as essential infrastructure, particularly as AI- driven data center growth, liquid cooling systems, and increasing structural load requirements reshape building design. He also champions life cycle value in commercial office, mass timber construction, and adaptive reuse projects, helping shift the industry conversation from upfront cost to long-term performance.
