PVD-behandling Forkortelsen PVD i PVD-behandling står for fysisk dampaflejring (Physical Vapour Deposition) og er en proces, hvor materialet i et ekstremt højt tryk ( 4x10e-5 mBar) vakuum kammer,får en behandling med laserstråler, magnetisk afbøjede ioner eller elektroner. Forskellige materialer i PVD-processen resulterer i overflader med fremragende egenskaber så som, imponerende farver, ekstremt høj ridse og slidstyrke, beskyttelse mod en lang række korrosive påvirkninger. Udover dette er PVD behandling neutral i både allergi og miljø. PVD behandling anbefales dermed i situationer, hvor der stilles stor krav til slidstyrke, korrosion beskyttelse, kemikalie påvirkninger og andre forhold, hvor produktet udsættes for ekstreme påvirkninger. PVD treatment is therefore recommended in situations where high levels of wear resistance, corrosion protection, chemical influences and other conditions where the product is exposed to extreme stresses are required.
