S ignees are expected to actively communicate the principles of this CoC to all subcontractors and sub - suppliers. 2. HUMAN & LABOUR RIGHTS We believe that all people deserve fair treatment, dignity, and safe working conditions. This section outlines our standards set to protect human rights and support decent employment for all. 2.1. No forced or child labour Child labour is strictly prohibited. Employees must be the legal minimum employment age set by local law or , if no law applies, 15 years at minimum. If child labour is identified, immediately action must be taken to protect affected children and implement a remediation plan. Young workers under age 18 may only perform light physical work, and all laws concerning the treatment of young workers must be followed. Their working hours must not interfere with school or training programs. All work must be freely chosen. The use of forced, bonded, indentured, or prison labour is strictly prohibited. Employees must not be required to surrender identity documents, deposits, or personal belongings as a condition of employment, and may terminate a contract after legal notice. All employees must be allowed to leave the workplace under reasonable circumstances. 2.2. Fair wages E qual wage for equal work must be paid, as well as wages that meet or exceed the legal minimum or prevailing industry rate, whichever is higher, as well as all legally mandated benefits including employer contributions for social security benefits and services. Signees must aspire to pay a living wage that is sufficient to cover basic needs, including food, housing, healthcare, education, and transportation, and still allow for some discretionary income.
