Better Buildings for a Better World 60 Facades Tide Academy United States Product: Dri-Design Perforated Panels The design intent of TIDE Academy, a STEM high school in California, is to develop an environment that is “safe, engaging, enriching and interactive.” To meet these needs, careful use of materials was paramount in creating the optimal atmosphere. Dri-Design Perforated Panels were used to shade the building and reduce solar heat gain. The panels also functioned as railings in some areas of the school, adding a detail of visual interest to the building.
