It is the centrepiece of the first resort of its kind in Ireland, designed by Holder Mathias Architects. The pool house, complete with rapid simulator, slides and verdant planting, is one of nine main buildings that congregate around a six-acre lake in the “village centre” of the €233 million development, while 466 self-catering cabins are dispersed throughout the woodland. Kingspan’s involvement in the project was twofold, supplying both the insulated panels that form the elevations of the buildings and a pair of water pumps vital to the running of the water park. 84
