If the tasks change, the company can apply for approval again at any time. If the company does not have a Danish authorisation, the company must employ at least one skilled electrician who will be responsible for the training. The approval applies to the specific workplace (P number). About the electrician education The electrician training programmes offers two specialisations: Electrician 1 and Electrician 2. A third option is to train as an EUX electrician. The training programme has a flexible structure and comprises a total of 32 modules to be combined considering the host company’s jobs and the apprentice’s interests. For Electrician 1 (4 years) the apprentice must select four modules and at least one of these must be a level 2 module. For Electrician 2 (4½ years) the apprentice must select five modules and at least one of these must be a level 3 module. The EUX electrician training programme (5 years) combines upper secondary school and apprenticeship as for electrician 1.
