WEIGHT RECOMMENDATIONS An Elfa system is strong and can hold heavy loads. These recommendations are a guide to each system and each individual product. Important to know is that these recommendations are based on that the wall is without defects. It is the customer’s responsibility to secure the condition of the wall and that it can withstand the load that will be applied. These recommendations requires the of use Elfa’s assembly instructions and Elfa’s screws and plugs for each wall type. NOTE! These recommendations are based on storage being placed evenly on the Elfa product being used. 4641 SHELVING When planning the section measurements of a Shelving solution, consider how much weight each shelf is intended to carry. MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS FOR INTERIOR FITTINGS AND DRAWERS After cleaning with a suitable mild, household detergent, wipe off with a damp cloth to avoid static electricity. Crystal oil, acetone and similar substances should not be used, as they can damage plastic parts. CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS FOR LAMINATED AND MELAMINE SURFACES Clean with a mild, household detergent as recommended for painted and varnished surfaces. Substances that can cause discoloring or corrosion damage (iodine, hydrogen peroxide, ink, mineral acids etc.), should be avoided. CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS FOR VARNISHED WOOD SURFACES (I.E. ELFA DÉCOR) Veneer and solid wood surfaces are porous to a certain degree. Use water sparingly when cleaning. Use a damp cloth and dry off with a well-wrung cloth. Clean with a mild, household detergent. Never use scouring cream or pow- der, steel wool or similar products containing abrasives or ammonia. Never use thinners to remove spots. Please note! Elfa’s products should not be placed outdoors, exposed to direct sunlight for any length of time or stored in a damp environment, such as a bathroom. GUARANTEE INCLUDED IN THE GUARANTEE This guarantee covers materials and workmanship for all products. The guarantee is valid for a period of 10 years following the date of the end-customer’s purchase of a product. In order for a guarantee claim to be valid, the end-customer must provide Elfa with the original receipt or any other document or bank statement, proving the purchase of the product. NOT INCLUDED IN THE GUARANTEE This guarantee does not cover products that have been stored or installed incorrectly, used inappropriately or incorrectly, altered or cleaned using an incorrect cleaning method or cleaning products. The guarantee does not cov- er normal wear and tear, cuts, nicks, scratches or damage caused by impacts or accidents. The guarantee is further- more not valid if the product has been placed outdoors, exposed to direct sunlight for any length of time or stored in a damp environment, such as a bathroom. The guaran- tee is not applicable to damage to other property caused by the product failing to work correctly. COMPLAINTS Complaints must be submitted to a reseller of the product without delay as soon as a defect in the product has been noticed. Complaints relating to visible defects in the products must be submitted immediately and prior to installation. Complaints in respect of defects which rea- sonably ought to have been noticed prior to installation and which were not documented prior to installation will not be accepted. REMEDY Repair or replacement are the only forms of remedy covered by this guarantee. Elfa will in its sole discretion decide whether a defect covered by the guarantee is to be remedied by means of repair or replacement. Elfa cannot be held liable for any indirect or consequential losses on the basis of this guarantee (including, inter alia, loss of in- come, compensation for downtime or costs associated with the repair or replacement of property damaged if the Elfa product fails to work). If the product cannot be repaired, Elfa will replace it free of charge.
