What is an SCR? SCR stands for Selective Catalytic Reduction The SCR uses a water-based Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) that is first converted into ammonia via hydrolysis at 738+°F and pushed through the substrate removing NOx. The SCR substrate is coated with a solution of copper, iron or zeolites. The ASC zone also contains platinum group metals (PGM).
