Pre-box with e-heater and 3 possible catalyst concepts Concept 1: Urea mixing chamber with cc-Selective Catalyst Reduction (cc-SCR) concept on metallic or ceramic substrate. E - heater The heater accelerates in cold exhaust gas conditions the heat up to earlier achieve the injection temperature of AdBlue for the cc-SCR. The cc-SCR comprises a coating with a high DeNO X function at very low NO 2 content in the exhaust gas and the size is designed to cover mainly cold start and low load conditions. The main box contains the DOC, the DPF and the second SCR whereas the PGM loading on the DOC and DPF is adjusted to ensure passive regeneration and to support the DeNO X function of the second SCR. Concept 2: close coupled Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (cc-DOC) in combination with an e-heater direct in front of an AdBlue mixing chamber. The main box consists of an SCR coated DPF (F-SCR) and an additional SCR with ASC function. E - heater The e-heater accelerates the heat-up during cold-start conditions for an early light off for THC and CO oxidation and to reach fast the injection temperature of AdBlue. The cc-DOC generates sufficient NO 2 upstream the F-SCR to ensure high DeNO X function and passive generation of the collected soot. The SCR coating on the filter ensures the full utilization of the early AdBlue dosing. Concept 3: close coupled Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (cc-DOC) in combination with an e-heater. The main box consists of the DPF, the compact mixer, the SCR and the ASC. E - heater The e-heater accelerates the heat-up during cold-start conditions for an early light off for THC and CO oxidation and to reach fast the injection temperature of AdBlue in the main box. The cc-DOC generates sufficient NO 2 upstream the DPF to ensure passive generation of the collected soot and to have a high NO X reduction efficiency on the SCR. If the calibration needs high soot load limits on the DPF, the new developed CHP-SiC-K05 would be the right choice for the filter substrate. Dinex.net
