Even More Loving Meals ‐ Even Bigger Goals At Det Kærlige Måltid, we can look back at yet another year filled with a multitude of meaningful tasks, strong partnerships and new collaborations. First of all, we owe a huge, heartfelt THANK YOU to our fantastic volunteers. They are the backbone of Det Kærlige Måltid. We are deeply grateful for the countless hours devoted in the kitchen, on the roads and behind the computers every single week. In 2022, the volunteers prepared and delivered 20,781 loving meals from our branches in Aarhus and Aalborg. In 2022, for the first time, Det Kærlige Måltid participated in Folkemødet on Bornholm - invited by the PFA Brug Livet Fonden, as one of the foundation's supported charities in 2022. In addition, we have started working with the UN's Global Goals as part of our strategic goals. Initially, we have selected to implement World Goal 3, "Health and well-being" and World Goal 12, "Responsible consumption and production." We work with World Goal 3 to preserve and strengthen the well-being of the volunteers, as well as to measure our results and progress. For us it is an essential priority that the community is both educational and inclusive with a sharp focus on mental health. In choosing Global Goal 12, we are actively aiming to optimize waste sorting, set criteria for purchasing and stay on top of the latest knowledge in reusable and sustainable packaging solutions. A highlight of the year was the charity dinner, culminating in a fantastic result, directly contributing to the continual development of the organization, which ensures our ability to help families affected by illness in a difficult situation and time in their lives. Another milestone was the autumn publication of Det Kærlige Måltid cookbook by Politikens Forlag. All profits from the book sale goes entirely to the continual efforts of Det Kærlige Måltid.
