2 IUI treatment with donor sperm (IUI-D) IUI-D is short for intrauterine insemination with donor sperm. It is a simple method of fertility treatment performed by an experienced healthcare professional. In IUI-D treatment, the donor sperm is inserted into the uterus to increase the concentration of motile sperm in the fallopian tubes and thereby improve the chances of fertilisation. Insemination is carried out around the time of ovulation, when you have the best chances of achieving pregnancy. Timing is an essential factor in IUI-D treatment, and for some women, the chances of achieving a pregnancy will be higher with a hormone stimulation to help regulate the egg production and/or the time of ovulation. At Cryos Clinic, we offer IUI-D treatment in spontaneous/natural cycle as well as stimulated cycle. The recommended treatment is based on your age, your cycle, and whether you have previously attempted to become pregnant.
