A proud tradition of craftmanship Sika-Design is a Danish family company from 1942. With a passion for rattan and great craftmanship, we manufacture timeless furniture in both our own designs, and in designs by some of the world’s greatest designers and architect. We have been around long enough to call us the oldest manufacturer of rattan and wicker furniture in Scandinavia. Our history began with rattan but for almost 20 years we have also been manufacturing outdoor wicker furniture based on the same great craftmanship. Core values With 3 rd generation Louise Andreasen in charge, our mission is to make long lasting furniture. These should be created with the least possible impact on the environment which places great demands to the longevity of our designs, the way we produce, and the materials we use. Social responsibility All Sika-Design furniture is handcrafted in Indonesia where wickerwork is a tradition-bound craft passing down from generation to generation. Our products are made with care for the environment and the well-being of people. The production is committed to a healthy environmental policy and an ongoing focus on improving the working conditions. Sika-Design is certified by ISO14001:2015 and SMETA by DNV-GL.
